Hi friends! On this page, you'll find art resources and projects that you can do while you're home. Please pick 1 activity to do each week I don't see you. You can use the same resource more than once, just make sure you pick a different activity. Once you're done, you can either save them in a folder to show me once we return, or snap a picture and e-mail it to me! There's a link to my e-mail at the bottom of this page.

Art for Kids Hub
This YouTube channel is great for drawing along! Artist Rob and his kids teach you how to draw TONS of different things. You can do these drawings with just a pencil and paper, or even digitally on a computer, tablet or other drawing device. Try your best, and as Rob says, "The most important thing is to have fun!"

Cassie Stephens
If you haven't heard about Cassie Stephens, you're missing out! Cassie is a very silly art teacher in Nashville, TN who is doing a week of robot themed art projects while schools are closed. For these projects, you'll need a little more than just a pencil and paper. You'll also need a little help from an adult. This link is to the first day of robots, so be sure to follow along with her as she does a different project every day!

Mandala Making
What is a mandala? Well a mandala is a special circle. The word comes from an ancient Indian language that literally means "circle". Use objects from outside to make a nature mandala, or items around your home to make one indoors. Just remember to put items back in their places if you make one inside.

Land Art
Richard Shilling is a land artist based in Northern England who encourages children to get outside to see and create art in nature. Why don't you read a bit about him from this interview and then make your own land art? Make sure to take a picture of your best one (or two) and e-mail them to me! Not sure what to make? Read this from his interview:
JEAN: What’s a simple land art project we could all do with our children today in our backyard or neighborhood park?
RICHARD: Collect 10 (or more) different leaves
1) Explore wherever you are and collect one leaf from each different plant you can find (beware of poison ivy!)
2) Examine each leaf and see the different colors, thicknesses, vein structures and so on
3) Lay your leaves out on the ground or thread them onto sticks to display them
